Grammar - Good or Well

This week we needed to decide in our thinking group if we should 

or shouldn't  have prize giving. We decided we should have prize giving

Adding Tens and Ones

We played a P.V. game, watched a video, then we completed this D.L.O.

Native Tree Survey

There is 34 introduced than 22 native trees 12 =there is 34 introduced trees.

Different Opinions

In our thinking groups we looked at a text that has different opinions. The issue was should we have prizegiving? We looked at the vocabulary and found some definitions. We wrote down one reason we              should and one reason we shouldn't have prizegiving.

Instrument Art

                                           Here is my pastel art. We made the instrument cold, swirly colours, 

                                                              and the background hot, spiky colours.

Poem - I Hear

                                                    Here is the original poem. I have written my own version. 

      

I Hear...

When I think of school

I hear

The wind is blowing through the class room 

Kids chatting and talking as the bell rings 

Naughty kids running, late to class. 

Students whispering about their learning, 

But when the teacher came they were quiet like a mouse. 

Typing on their chromebook. 

As if it had never ceased to be 

but only needed listening to little leaves floating free.

Twinkle Twinkle on the Xylophone.

As part of our unit on sound we learnt  to play this song on

the xylophone. We played it at our on-line assembly

Grammar - Is or Are

This drawing shows when you use is and when you use 

are is for one thing, are is for two or more things. (plural)

Complex Sentences

The day was nice and sunny, until the boys played rugby.

Until boys played rugby, the day was nice and sunny.
